I can't believe that people are still doing it.
Seriously
Today I was at Kovan KFC, and I saw something which reminds me of the past, 2-3 years ago.
Nobody told me that the Mighty Tissue has returned!
It seems that SG'eans are still merely oblivious to the old trends. The fast-food restuarant was completely packed, and I spotted an empty 4-seater table, or so I thought. A peek around the corner showed an innocent but mighty packet of tissue sitting on the table. What else?! As a 'Good Samaritan' of sorts, I decided to pocket the tissue packet, giving others the opportunity to sit down to eat their food, instead of staring at an empty table which 'shall-not-be-touched'.
However, doubt did kick in. My thoughts were proved right when a lone woman seated at the table next. Whether she was the owner of the Mighty Tissue, I'm still unsure. Nevertheless, a person who eats alone in a packed fast-food restaurant would be at a disadvantage, as he/she would not have someone else to 'chope places for them.
Even so, the thought of a Mighty Tissue is amusing to me. Why wouldn't people place their handphones or wallets or even chains instead of a measley tissue packet? Well at least if you want to reserve a seat, make a considerable effort to keep it. What better way than to 'auction' off the table to the 'highest bidder'?
PS: The tissue packet was intact. I do not pick up tissue packets everywhere I go. Also it was the 'Watson's' brand. I can't resist tissue that has imprints on it!
Merely.
