Golf Or Car?

A mere hello. Been quite sometime i've been away, eh? Merel being sick, the writer couldn't find his keyboard, the mouse went off to find cheese.. Ahh the wonders of life. Anyway what caught my eye straight after i got home from school (yes i go home from sch at 9) was the headlines of todays TNP! "SPORTS SCHOOL STUDENT REJECTS GOLF FOR CAR", or something like that.

I may or may not get some flak for this but oh well. What's the big deal about a golfer getting a hole-in-one and choosing a car instead of staying an... amateur. I mean, boys scoring hat-tricks in tournaments should get the match-ball but they don't! Do they make most of it? Noo... Why? Oh, maybe they're not SPORTS SCHOOL material or sort of. I'm not having anything against the Sports School. It's just that the media are giving them more 'broadcast' than most neighbourhood schools.

I hope, merely hope, for a paper/magazine that has news ONLY for schools. All kinds of news like sports, academics, competitions... Secondary schools onwards deserve to be recognise for their contributions. Hey, this will also do no harm in the bid for the YOG'10. It shows how "passionate" the government is in the youth's life.
