Year Of The Rat

The Merelion wishes all a happy lunar new year of the rat. May you have all the blessings, in health and in wealth, that may or may not come in the disguise of rat droppings. Anyway, The Merelion apologises for being away for quite some time. Merel had some difficulties spitting i guess.

Anyone noticed that the world stops living during the CNY? I mean, in Singapore that is, the streets are empty, shops are closed.. Life, is gone! Basically, you can walk around orchard, or dhoby ghaut, or anywhere else without feeling crowded. That's fun, really. You could make a vid of yourself running around in circles at orchard and put it on youtube! Then, you can earn like a million bucks!

It is supposed to be a festive holiday, and i do not want to ruin it, just because the lion is not in the zodiac calender. (or is it?) Enjoy the 15-days of celebration and being richer, with money coming in the forms of red packets. I personally prefer blue packets. Or at least a something blue in the packets, like a note.
