A mere evening to all.
I used to believe that secondary life can make or break you.
Now I know.
Your choice of school MUST fit your kind of thinking. You don't change yourself to fit into the school, unless your thinking is all wrong. How do you know whether you have the right/wrong thinking? Easy. You feel 'happy' in that school.
The environment in each school varies greatly. Let's just say I found out the hard way. From where I come from (I kept hinting about this), nobody can ever be respected. The gulf in thinking is huge. Let's say you ace papers, every single one of them. People call you proud and arrogant. You make a trial for the school's flagship CCA - they don't want you in there because you're not 'like them'.
It's a matter of survival for me. I don't fit in, it's either I lose myself or I lose my self. As in my beliefs of what's right and wrong. When you are the minority, it's hard to survive. Every difference is frowned upon, they want you to be exactly like one of them. It's a 'command economy' of sorts, creativity is frowned upon. You cannot be given a high post in let's say prefectorial board unless you're the 'ambassador' for the school. You cannot be part of your flagship CCA because they don't want you in there. It's a poison to your pride, your dignity and most importantly, your talents.
A mistake I made, and I still believe in my own way of doing things. I know it's just a matter of the right environment. And if you disagree, seriously, are you happy?
Merely.
